Committed to Making a Difference

Diversity Is The Key

Breck Construction has always understood the importance of workplace diversity and have put policies in place to ensure diversity and productivity remains a strong aspect of the company.

At Breck Construction, we are an equal opportunities employer and strive through our culture and hiring to maintain a diverse workforce. Our company is majority woman-owned, and we strive to recruit, hire and train women for non-traditional roles on our worksites.

Breck’s commitment to promoting a strong Aboriginal workforce is evident on several sites where representation has been as high as one hundred percent. Our goal is to increase this involvement on all sites to a minimum of thirty percent.

We strongly believe that diversity is the key to productivity, efficiency, and safety on each worksite, as well as promoting a strong and vibrant culture throughout our organization.

Breck has created an Aboriginal Recruitment and Retention strategy that aligns with our corporate value of promoting diversity.

we promote diversity throughout our company

Breck has created an Aboriginal Recruitment and Retention strategy that aligns with our corporate value of promoting diversity.

We work collaboratively with the community and have developed strong partnerships with our Aboriginal leaders. These relationships have allowed us to effectively implement the Breck Scholarship Program for Aboriginal students entering a Saskatchewan trades apprenticeship program and for those attending the Saskatchewan Institute of Indian Technology (SIIT).

The SIIT Scholarship Program includes a job placement program for graduates of the SIIT industrial scaffold program, equipment for use in Aboriginal-focused trade training programs, and a robust mentorship program that focuses on support, guidance, and transitioning to the workplace.

By encouraging Aboriginal involvement in rewarding careers that are accessible where they live, Breck commits to employment within Aboriginal communities, to youth engagement, and to ensuring the strength and vibrancy of our company.
